The Sevier County Fair is also this month. It is always a favorite with great crafts, rides, and contests. There will be wrestling, Kids Dance Showcase, The Fairest of the Fair, and much more. Come join the hometown fun!
The long awaited Shades of the Past Hot Rod Round Up #28 is finally here. It is for Rods, Customs, and Classics through 1972. It will be held on September 10th & 11th at Dollywood's Splash Country. First prize is a 1932 Ford Roadster and second prize is $10,000. For those of you who have not been to this event in the past, it consumes the whole town. The streets are filled with cars on display and guests sitting in lawn chairs. Folks of all ages enjoy it.
While you are in the mood for racing and looking at cars, swing by The Track or NASCAR Speedpark. Hey, they are not just for the kids you know. If you want to do something more educational, try the Smoky Mountain Car Museum. They have all sorts of cars peppered throughout history.
These are just some of the things that September has to offer. Check out our events page for the complete listing. Also, don't forget about our terrific new deal we have going, buy two of the following shows and get the third free: Black Bear Jamboree Dinner & Show, Magic Beyond Belief, The Miracle, Kick 'N Country, Blackwood Breakfast Variety Show, The Comedy Barn, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! These are all super shows and this is a "steal" of a deal.
